Job Title: JCL COBOL Developer

Location: Charlotte, NC, Minneapolis, MN, Atlanta, GA, Dallas, TX, San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)

Duration: 2 Months+ (Potential to Extend)

Years of Experience: 5+ Yrs.

Required Hours/Week: 40hrs./Week

Job Description:

• The end-client is looking for a talented JCL COBOL Developer to join their team.
• The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in COBOL programming and JCL (Job Control Language) to support and enhance our mainframe applications

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain COBOL programs and JCL scripts.
• Analyze and understand existing mainframe applications and workflows.
• Modify and enhance COBOL programs to meet business requirements.
• Create and maintain JCL scripts for batch processing.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues in COBOL programs and JCL scripts.
• Collaborate with business analysts and other developers to gather requirements and design solutions.
• Ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
• Provide support for production issues and perform root cause analysis.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a COBOL Developer.
• Strong knowledge of JCL (Job Control Language).
• Experience with mainframe environments (e.g., IBM z/OS).
• Familiarity with SSRS
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills.
